New Recycling for Alexandra

Alexandra Park Road could soon be home to a new recycling bank.

Haringey council are proposing to put a container at the Library for residents to properly dispose small electrical items.

They’re currently trying to find out whether or not local people are happy with this suggestion.

Jon Hastings, Communication and Engagements Manager at the council says: “The banks will be regularly emptied to prevent them becoming full, and there will be no cost to the council for the provision of these facilities”.

Six other banks could be installed across the borough.

They’ll all be placed and serviced by DHL, although the council says their waste call centre will be available if problems are encountered.
